Our Services

By our approach of working closely with Cameroon cocoa growing communities and paying a premium for quality, we aim to reduce the complexity of the supply chain by introducing new computerized electronic weigh stations, improve returns to farmers and improve the quality of cocoa beans.Sustainable Cocoa Farmers Association work directly with farmers affection and passion by introducing fair trade purchasing decision,  for the farmers who sell their cocoa beans to us, enjoy Fair trade services, Fair Trade means many things, to us Fair Trade to us means farmers receive a guarantee price and the true weight of their produced for the quality cocoa beans the sell to support the Association and social premium or qualities that can be reinvested in the community, this investment will benefit the whole community to do projects like clean water, house construction, schools, fees for their children during off season etc.

sustainable Cocoa Farmers Association is currently working directly with cocoa growing communities to promotes sustainable source origin in cocoa growing communities, we aim to must increase cocoa production in Cameroon through farmers training workshops, introducing both young and old farmers back into cocoa production industry at the same caliber that you are thinking, fair trade purchasing passion of farmers cocoa beans and new farming techniques in cocoa-growing communities.

MUST INCREASE COCOA PRODUCTION IN CAMEROON

​Our Micro Finance services offer the less privilege smallholders farmers or start-up cocoa farmer’s access to Zero...Interest loans, Progres-savings and other basic financial services. People living in poverty require these types of financial services to start their own cocoa farms and both manage and grow their crops well, just like everyone else. The difference is, the less privilege cocoa farmers can't simply walk into a bank and take out a loan or open a savings account. In most cases, they have very little assets or collateral, lack credit histories and employment records, and may not even be able to read or sign their names.
For these reasons, the majority of formal financial institutions do not consider the less privilege farmers to be creditworthy. Hard-working people who are ready to expand their farms or join the cocoa production industry, often find themselves forced to deal with money lenders and loan sharks. Our Micro Finance approach- and specifically, cocoa farmers or "start up group of cocoa farmers who prompt’s to the
SUCOFA-Cocoaboard and said we are ready to go back to cocoa production" –we evaluate their request and level of wiliness, then we are ready to support them, by offering them the opportunity to access our small amounts of loan capital that can enable them start their own cocoa farms.
we use Micro Finance as a platform for improving transforming entire cocoa growing communities. In other words, we don't see micro Finance as our final "product", but a way to create new resources and opportunities for people who want to expand their farms or who want to start or are ready to go back into cocoa farming. Growing cocoa allow the less privilege to earn an income with dignity, send their children to school and look after sick relatives.

 

Micro Financing and Credits (Zero...Interest Loans)

Depending on the community percentage of cocoa bean supply, first time loans range from $20-$500. Regardless of the loan size, the results are significant. With profits from their quality cocoa bean production, parents are able to send their children to school, provide better nutrition, health care, shelter and clothing for their families, and become engaged in their communities to break the cycle of good living standards. We are presently working hard to give dignity and hope to both young and old cocoa farmers as a result, we strongly believe lives will gradually changed and for generations to come.

​​SUCOFA is currently developing a successful production training program for more than 50 communities of 500 - 5000 farmers. Farmers received training on cocoa production planning, budgets, partial budgeting, agronomic basics and how to continually generate income for their families in off season. SUCOFA is taking an active role in bringing together cocoa farmers to work towards a collaborative solution.
